About the Role

This Legal Intern position offers an outstanding opportunity to work with Think Academy US's dynamic legal team. The role involves:

LEGAL INTERN

Hourly Rate: $25 - $30

Working Location: Hybrid (Remote and On-Site Required)

Working hours: Part- Time, (20-30 hours per week)

 

Job Duties

As a Legal Intern, your responsibilities will include assisting the legal department in the following areas:

  1. Legal Research: Conduct comprehensive research on legal issues, case law, regulations, and industry standards to support the organization's legal matters and initiatives.
  2. Drafting and Revising Agreements: Draft, edit, and revise contracts and agreements under the supervision of senior legal professionals to ensure compliance with applicable laws and alignment with company objectives.
  3. Contract Management: Assist in organizing, reviewing, and maintaining contract databases, tracking contract performance and obligations, and ensuring proper documentation.
  4. Corporate Governance: Support corporate governance activities, including maintaining corporate records, drafting meeting minutes, and ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  5. Legislation and Policy Tracking: Monitor and analyze updates on relevant legislation, policy changes, and legal developments that may impact the organization.
  6. Internal Compliance Programs: Actively participate in internal compliance activities and education programs, particularly focusing on labor law, data security, and advertising/consumer protection regulations, to promote and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards across the organization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a J.D or LLM Program
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply as well!
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
  • Prior internship or legal assistant/paralegal experience is a plus

 

This position will allow the intern to gain exposure to a wide range of legal disciplines while developing skills essential for a successful career in the legal field.
