Job Description

A growing law firm on the Kenyan coast is hiring an Associate Advocate specializing in Real Estate and Banking & Finance law for its Diani Beach office. The role involves handling conveyancing transactions, property due diligence, mortgage documentation, and banking facility agreements. This is an excellent opportunity for advocates who want to work in Kenya's thriving coastal real estate market.

Responsibilities

Handle end-to-end conveyancing transactions including property due diligence and title searches. Draft and review mortgage instruments, charge documents, and banking facility agreements. Advise clients on land acquisition, leasing, and property development transactions. Conduct legal audits on property portfolios for banking clients. Liaise with the Land Registry and other relevant authorities.

Requirements

LLB degree and admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Minimum 2-4 years post-qualification experience in conveyancing, property law, or banking law. Knowledge of the Land Registration Act, Land Act, and banking regulations. Experience with charge documentation, property transfers, and loan facility agreements.
