Job Description
The UN Environment Programme in Nairobi is seeking a legal officer to support the development of international environmental law instruments. You will work on climate change negotiations, biodiversity treaties, and pollution control frameworks affecting developing nations.
Responsibilities
Provide legal advice on multilateral environmental agreements. Support climate change negotiation processes. Draft legal opinions on environmental governance issues. Coordinate with member states on environmental treaty implementation.
Requirements
Advanced degree in law (LLM preferred) specializing in environmental or international law. 5+ years experience in environmental law or policy. Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
