Job Description
A leading coastal law firm is seeking a Senior Associate specializing in Corporate and Commercial Law to join its Mombasa office. The role involves advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, and commercial agreements. The ideal candidate will handle complex transactions, lead a team of associates, and develop client relationships across the coastal region.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, and restructurings. Draft and review commercial agreements, shareholder agreements, and corporate governance documents. Lead and mentor junior associates. Manage client relationships and develop business in the coastal region. Ensure compliance with corporate regulatory requirements.
Requirements
LLB degree and admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Minimum 5-7 years post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law. Strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2015, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills. Experience working in a busy commercial law practice.
