Job Description

Trust Law Chambers is recruiting an Associate for its Banking and Finance practice in Kigali. You will work on complex financing transactions, advising international lenders, development finance institutions and local banks on secured and unsecured lending across Rwanda and the Great Lakes region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review loan agreements, security documents and facility letters
  • Advise on National Bank of Rwanda regulatory requirements
  • Assist with project finance and infrastructure PPP transactions
  • Conduct legal due diligence on borrowers and collateral
  • Coordinate with regional counsel on cross-border financings

Requirements

  • LLB degree from a recognised institution
  • Admitted to the Rwanda Bar Association
  • ILPD professional course completed
  • 2-4 years banking or finance law experience
  • Knowledge of BNR regulations and the Banking Act
