Job Description
Banking & Finance Associate at Wolf Theiss
Wolf Theiss is looking for a talented Banking & Finance Associate to join our Vienna office. You will advise leading financial institutions and corporate borrowers on complex financing transactions across Central and Southeastern Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on acquisition finance, project finance, and structured lending transactions
- Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor arrangements
- Assist with regulatory compliance under Austrian banking law (BWG) and EU financial regulations
- Support restructuring and workout matters for distressed borrowers
- Coordinate with local counsel across CEE jurisdictions on cross-border financings
Requirements
- Completed Austrian legal education (Mag. jur./LL.M.) and admitted or in Konzipientenzeit
- 3-5 years of banking and finance experience at a reputable law firm
- Strong understanding of Austrian and EU financial regulatory frameworks
- Fluent in German and English; additional CEE languages are a plus
