Job Description
The Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) is seeking a Senior Legal Officer for its Legal and Board Secretariat Department. You will handle tax litigation, represent the Authority in court proceedings and provide legal opinions on tax law matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent RRA in tax disputes before the Tax Appeals Commission and courts
- Draft legal submissions and responses in tax litigation
- Provide legal opinions on the application of tax laws
- Advise on legislative amendments and tax policy reforms
- Review taxpayer objections and draft determination letters
Requirements
- LLB degree; LLM in Tax Law preferred
- Admitted by the Rwanda Bar Association
- 5+ years experience in tax law or litigation
- Knowledge of the Income Tax Law, VAT Law and Tax Procedures Law
- Strong litigation and legal research skills
