Job Description
Tata Sons Private Limited is looking for a General Counsel to lead the Group Legal function at Bombay House, Fort, Mumbai. This executive role oversees legal strategy, governance and risk management across the Tata Group's operating companies spanning steel, IT, automobiles, telecom and consumer goods.
Responsibilities
- Advise the Tata Sons Board and Group Chairman on strategic legal matters
- Oversee M&A, joint ventures and group restructuring transactions
- Manage relationships with external law firms across jurisdictions
- Lead a team of 25+ lawyers across group companies
Requirements
- LLB from a top institution; LLM from a leading international university preferred
- 15+ years PQE including significant in-house experience
- Prior experience as GC, Head of Legal or equivalent at a large conglomerate or MNC
