Position Overview
Job Description
Bank of Kigali, Rwanda's largest commercial bank by total assets, is recruiting a Head of Legal to lead its Corporate Governance and Legal Affairs department. You will oversee all legal matters, board secretariat functions and corporate governance compliance across the BK Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the legal department and manage the legal team
- Serve as Company Secretary to the Board of Directors
- Ensure compliance with BNR regulations and the Companies Act
- Oversee contract management across all business lines
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution strategy
Requirements
- LLB degree; LLM or MBA preferred
- Admitted by the Rwanda Bar Association
- 8+ years legal experience, including 3+ years in banking
- Experience with corporate governance and board secretariat
- Knowledge of BNR Regulation on Corporate Governance
