In-House Counsel — Corporate & Commercial (Lagos)

Dangote Industries Limited, Africa’s largest industrial conglomerate, is looking for an In-House Counsel to join the Group Legal Department in Lagos. The role involves providing legal support across the Dangote Group’s diverse business units including cement, sugar, flour, oil refining, petrochemicals and fertiliser manufacturing.

Founded in 1978, the Dangote Group operates across multiple African jurisdictions and the legal team handles a high volume of corporate transactions, commercial contracts and regulatory matters.

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, supply agreements and procurement documentation
• Advising business units on corporate governance and regulatory compliance
• Managing external counsel on litigation and disputes
• Supporting M&A and investment transactions across the Group
• Advising on employment law matters and industrial relations

• LL.B and B.L. with admission to the Nigerian Bar
• 5-8 years post-call experience, preferably with in-house corporate legal experience
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, supply agreements and procurement documentation
• Knowledge of Nigerian corporate law, CAMA and regulatory compliance
• Ability to manage multiple matters across different business units
