Job Description
Namdeb Diamond Corporation, the 50/50 JV between De Beers and the Government of Namibia, seeks a Legal Counsel to manage mining agreements, joint venture governance and environmental compliance for its alluvial and marine diamond operations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee legal compliance with the Minerals Act and Diamond Act
- Manage the JV governance framework between De Beers and GRN
- Handle environmental and community development legal matters
- Manage external counsel and litigation portfolio
Requirements
- LLB; LLM in mining or commercial law preferred
- 5+ years in mining, natural resources or corporate law
- Experience managing JV governance and shareholder relations
