Senior Associate — Corporate & Commercial
Position Overview
Job Description
Trust Law Chambers, Rwanda's Tier 1 ranked corporate law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate and Commercial practice in Kigali. You will lead M&A transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring for international and domestic clients operating across the East African Community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence and transaction structuring for cross-border corporate deals
- Draft and negotiate shareholders agreements, SPAs, and joint venture documents
- Advise on compliance with the Rwandan Companies Act and EAC regulations
- Represent clients before the Rwanda Development Board and capital markets authority
- Supervise junior associates and manage key client relationships
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university
- Admitted as Advocate by the Rwanda Bar Association
- Completed professional course at ILPD (Institute of Legal Practice and Development)
- Minimum 5 years post-admission corporate law experience
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French an advantage
