Job Description

Trust Law Chambers, Rwanda's Tier 1 ranked corporate law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate and Commercial practice in Kigali. You will lead M&A transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring for international and domestic clients operating across the East African Community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead due diligence and transaction structuring for cross-border corporate deals
  • Draft and negotiate shareholders agreements, SPAs, and joint venture documents
  • Advise on compliance with the Rwandan Companies Act and EAC regulations
  • Represent clients before the Rwanda Development Board and capital markets authority
  • Supervise junior associates and manage key client relationships

Requirements

  • LLB from a recognised university
  • Admitted as Advocate by the Rwanda Bar Association
  • Completed professional course at ILPD (Institute of Legal Practice and Development)
  • Minimum 5 years post-admission corporate law experience
  • Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French an advantage
