Job Description
IDAL, Lebanon's national investment promotion agency established in 1994, seeks a Legal Counsel to advise on investment incentive programs. This role involves drafting legal frameworks for investor incentives, advising on foreign direct investment regulations, and supporting Lebanon's investment promotion efforts.
Responsibilities
Advise on the legal framework for investment incentives under Lebanese law. Draft investment agreements and incentive packages for foreign and local investors. Review and interpret bilateral investment treaties and free trade agreements. Provide legal support on investor disputes and regulatory issues. Collaborate with government ministries on investment policy development.
Requirements
Licence en Droit or LLM in international business law or investment law. 3-5 years of experience in investment law, trade law, or government legal advisory. Knowledge of Lebanese Investment Law, free zone regulations, and IDAL incentive packages. Understanding of bilateral investment treaties (BITs) and international investment arbitration. Fluency in Arabic and English required; French preferred.
