Employment Law Rechtsanwalt/Rechtsanwältin at Cerha Hempel

Cerha Hempel is seeking an experienced Employment Law Rechtsanwalt/Rechtsanwältin to join our Vienna employment and pensions practice. You will advise leading Austrian and multinational employers on the full spectrum of Austrian and EU labour law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on individual and collective employment law matters under Austrian labour law (ABGB, ArbVG, AngG)
  • Handle restructurings, workforce reductions, and social plans in compliance with Betriebsverfassungsgesetz
  • Draft and negotiate employment contracts, managing director agreements, and works council agreements (Betriebsvereinbarungen)
  • Represent clients before Austrian labour courts (Arbeits- und Sozialgericht)
  • Advise on cross-border employment issues, posted workers, and international assignments

Requirements

  • Admitted Rechtsanwalt/Rechtsanwältin in Austria with 5+ years of employment law experience
  • Deep knowledge of Austrian labour law, social security, and pensions legislation
  • Experience with works councils and collective bargaining
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Mag. jur. or equivalent qualification
