Job Description

Employment Lawyer — Emirates Group

Join the Emirates Group legal division to advise on employment law matters across our workforce of over 100,000 employees globally. Based at our Garhoud headquarters in Dubai, you will handle UAE labour law compliance, employment disputes, and HR policy advisory.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 on the Regulation of Labour Relations and its implementing regulations
Handle employment disputes before the Ministry of Human Resources (MOHRE) and Dubai Labour Courts
Draft and review employment contracts, end-of-service gratuity calculations, and non-compete agreements
Advise on Emiratisation requirements (Nafis programme) and quota compliance
Support disciplinary proceedings, termination processes, and redundancy programmes
Advise on DIFC Employment Law (DIFC Law No. 2/2019) for DIFC-based employees

Requirements

4-7 years PQE in employment law with substantial UAE experience
Deep knowledge of UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 and MOHRE regulations
Experience handling employment disputes before UAE Labour Courts
Understanding of DIFC and ADGM employment regulations
Fluent English; Arabic language skills essential for court work
Experience with large multinational workforces preferred
