Senior Associate — Project Finance & Infrastructure (Lagos)

UUBO is recruiting a Senior Associate for the Project Finance & Infrastructure practice. The role involves advising sponsors, lenders and government agencies on major infrastructure projects across power, transportation, telecommunications and real estate sectors in Nigeria.

UUBO has a distinguished track record in project finance, having advised on some of Nigeria’s most significant infrastructure transactions.

• Leading on project finance documentation including facility agreements, security packages and inter-creditor agreements
• Advising on PPP and concession structures under the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission framework
• Managing regulatory approvals from BPE, NERC and other sector regulators
• Coordinating multi-jurisdictional deal teams on cross-border projects
• Developing client relationships in the infrastructure sector

• LL.B and B.L. with admission to the Nigerian Bar
• 6-8 years post-call experience in project finance, PPP or infrastructure law
• Experience with DFI-funded projects (IFC, AfDB, Proparco) preferred
• Understanding of Nigerian power sector reforms and infrastructure concession regulatory framework
• Strong negotiation and client management skills
