Becario — Departamento Bancario y Financiero (Prácticas 9 meses)

Uría Menéndez offers a 9-month Becario programme in its Banking & Finance department at Calle Príncipe de Vergara 187 in Madrid. Graduates completing their Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía will gain first-hand experience in Spain's most significant banking transactions — syndicated lending, project finance, and restructurings — working alongside some of the country's finest financial lawyers.

What You Will Do

• Assist on syndicated loan documentation, reviewing facility agreements and security packages
• Conduct legal research on banking regulation: Ley 10/2014, Testo Refundido de la Ley Concursal, and Banco de España circulars
• Support due diligence workstreams for financing transactions
• Draft internal memoranda and precedent summaries for the knowledge management team
• Attend closings and negotiations with banks and borrowers

Eligibility

• Graduado en Derecho from a leading Spanish university
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed the Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía
• Strong academic record; interest in banking and financial regulation
• Good English (B2 minimum)
• Duration: 9 months, full-time, with strong conversion rate to permanent Associate role
