Job Description

Hannes Snellman Attorneys Ltd is recruiting an Associate to strengthen our Banking & Finance practice in Helsinki. You will advise banks, institutional investors, and corporate borrowers on financing transactions, regulatory matters, and restructurings.

The role involves working with the Luottolaitoslaki (Credit Institutions Act) and EU financial regulations such as CRD/CRR. You will support clients in dealings with FIN-FSA (Finanssivalvonta) and draft documentation for syndicated loans, bond issuances, and structured finance products.

Responsibilities

Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor agreements. Advise on regulatory compliance with FIN-FSA requirements and the Luottolaitoslaki. Support project finance and acquisition finance transactions. Conduct legal research on Finnish and EU financial regulation. Assist partners with client relationship management.

Requirements

OTM degree from a Finnish university. 3-5 years of experience in banking and finance law. Strong knowledge of the Luottolaitoslaki (Credit Institutions Act) and EU banking regulations. Experience with FIN-FSA regulatory matters. Fluent in Finnish and English.
