Associate – Restructuring & Insolvency
WongPartnership LLP is seeking a mid-level Associate for its Restructuring & Insolvency practice at Marina Bay. Singapore has positioned itself as a leading international restructuring hub, and you will advise on corporate restructurings, insolvency proceedings, and cross-border rescue frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise companies, creditors, and insolvency practitioners on judicial management, schemes of arrangement, and liquidation proceedings under the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act (IRDA)
- Support cross-border restructuring matters under the UNCITRAL Model Law as adopted in Singapore
- Draft scheme documents, creditor proposals, and applications to the High Court
- Advise on directors' duties, wrongful and insolvent trading, and preferences/undervalue transactions
- Handle creditor negotiations and coordinate with financial advisors on restructuring plans
Requirements
- Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in restructuring, insolvency, or banking litigation
- Knowledge of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act and Singapore restructuring framework
- Experience with cross-border insolvency matters preferred
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills
