Job Description

Clifford Chance Prague is seeking a Contract Lawyer for GDPR and Data Privacy projects on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will support major data protection compliance projects for multinational clients operating in the Czech Republic and across the CEE region.

This role involves conducting GDPR gap analyses, drafting data processing agreements, and advising on cross-border data transfers following Schrems II. You will work from our Prague 1 office with the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team on some of the largest data privacy mandates in the Czech market.

Responsibilities

Conduct GDPR compliance assessments for multinational clients. Draft and negotiate data processing agreements and SCCs. Advise on cross-border data transfers and Schrems II compliance. Prepare data protection impact assessments (DPIAs). Support clients in ÚOOÚ investigations and enforcement actions. Develop data protection policies and training materials.

Requirements

Czech law degree (Mgr.) with 3-5 years of data protection experience. CIPP/E or equivalent certification preferred. Expert knowledge of GDPR, Czech Act on Processing of Personal Data, and ÚOOÚ (Czech DPA) guidance. Experience with data protection impact assessments and cross-border transfer mechanisms. Fluent Czech and English.
