Job Description
Diretor Jurídico – Operações Downstream
Petrobras is seeking a Director-level legal executive to lead its downstream operations legal team in Rio de Janeiro. This executive position oversees legal support for refining, transportation, distribution, and petrochemical operations for Brazil's largest company.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 20+ lawyers providing legal support to Petrobras's refining, logistics, and distribution divisions
- Oversee complex commercial contracts for petroleum product sales, pipeline transportation, and terminal operations
- Advise the executive board on regulatory compliance with ANP, CADE, and environmental agencies
- Manage high-value litigation and arbitration proceedings involving downstream operations
- Lead legal strategy for Petrobras's divestiture programme and asset sale transactions
Requirements
- Bacharel em Direito; OAB registration; MBA or postgraduate in energy/business management preferred
- 15+ years' legal experience with at least 8 years in the energy sector
- Proven leadership experience managing large legal teams
- Fluent English; experience with international oil & gas transactions essential
