International Arbitration Counsel — BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates
BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates LLP seeks an International Arbitration Counsel to join our DIFC office. This role involves handling complex international arbitration proceedings under DIAC, ICC, LCIA-DIFC, and ad hoc arbitration rules, with a focus on construction, energy, and infrastructure disputes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as lead counsel in international arbitration proceedings seated in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and other GCC jurisdictions
- Draft statements of case, witness statements, and legal submissions for arbitration tribunals
- Advise on enforcement of arbitral awards under the UAE Arbitration Law (Federal Law No. 6/2018) and New York Convention
- Handle DIAC (Dubai International Arbitration Centre) and ADCCAC arbitration proceedings
- Manage expert appointments, document production, and hearing logistics for international proceedings
- Represent clients in DIFC Courts proceedings related to arbitration (supervisory jurisdiction under Article 5A)

Requirements
- 8+ years PQE with a focus on international arbitration, preferably with Middle East experience
- Strong advocacy and written submission skills
- Experience with DIAC, ICC, LCIA, and LCIA-DIFC arbitration rules
- Knowledge of UAE Federal Arbitration Law (Federal Law No. 6/2018)
- Qualified in a common law or civil law jurisdiction
- Fluency in English essential; Arabic and French are advantageous
- Willingness to travel within the GCC for hearings and client meetings
