Junior Advokat – Construction & Infrastructure

Bech-Bruun's Aarhus office is seeking a Junior Advokat for its Construction and Infrastructure practice. Denmark has a substantial pipeline of infrastructure projects including the Femern Belt Fixed Link, Aarhus Letbane (light rail), and major hospital construction. Danish construction law, governed by the AB 18/ABT 18 standard conditions and the Danish Contractors' Act (Entrepriseretlige regler), is highly specialized.

What You Will Do

• Advise on construction contracts under AB 18 (general conditions) and ABT 18 (turnkey conditions)
• Handle construction disputes including arbitration before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board (Voldgiftsnævnet for bygge- og anlægsvirksomhed)
• Advise on public infrastructure project procurement under the Udbudsloven
• Draft and negotiate subcontractor agreements and consultant contracts under ABR 18
• Advise on delay claims, defect liability, and retention provisions

• Advise on construction contracts and dispute resolution
• Support arbitration proceedings before the Voldgiftsnævnet
• Draft construction contract documentation
• Advise on procurement of construction works
• Research Danish construction law developments

• Danish Bar admission or recently completed advokatfuldmægtig period
• Cand.jur. from a Danish university
• 1-4 years of experience in construction or infrastructure law
• Knowledge of AB 18/ABT 18/ABR 18 standard conditions
• Fluent in Danish and English
• Interest in infrastructure project development
