Junior Corporate Advocate — AP Legal
AP Legal seeks a Junior Advocate (अधिवक्ता) for its Corporate and Commercial practice at its Lalitpur offices. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently licensed Advocate to build a corporate law career at a progressive firm located in the Kathmandu Valley's fastest-growing business hub.
The Junior Advocate will assist with company registration under the Companies Act 2063 (2006), commercial contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and due diligence for investment transactions. Working under senior supervision, you will gain hands-on experience with the Office of the Company Registrar, the Department of Industry, and the Nepal Investment Board — building foundational skills in Nepal's corporate and commercial law framework from AP Legal's Lalitpur base.
Responsibilities
- Assist with company registration and corporate formation under the Companies Act 2063 (2006)
- Draft basic commercial agreements, NDAs, and service contracts under supervision
- Conduct legal research on corporate law, foreign investment, and regulatory compliance
- Support due diligence processes for investment and M&A transactions
- Prepare regulatory filings for the Office of the Company Registrar and Department of Industry
- Maintain corporate records and assist with board documentation
Requirements
- Advocate licensed by the Nepal Bar Association (NBA) with 0–2 years' post-admission experience
- Strong academic record in corporate law, commercial law, and contract law
- Knowledge of the Companies Act 2063 (2006) and basic regulatory framework
- Interest in technology and startup law
- LL.B. from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, or equivalent
- Proficiency in English and Nepali
- Attention to detail and strong research skills
