Juriste — Aviation Law & Commercial Contracts | Royal Air Maroc

Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Morocco's flag carrier airline headquartered at Casablanca-Anfa Airport, is seeking a Legal Counsel specialising in aviation law and commercial contracts. As a member of the Oneworld alliance, RAM operates an extensive route network and is undergoing significant fleet modernisation, creating dynamic legal challenges.

About the Role

You will join the Service Juridique working on aircraft leasing and acquisition agreements, code-share partnerships within the Oneworld alliance, airport slot negotiations, passenger claims under the Montreal Convention, and regulatory compliance with Morocco's Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC) and IATA/ICAO standards.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate aircraft lease agreements, purchase contracts, and maintenance agreements
  • Advise on code-share, interline, and alliance partnership agreements within Oneworld
  • Handle passenger liability claims and litigation under the Montreal Convention
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with DGAC, IATA, and ICAO requirements
  • Support airport slot negotiations and ground handling concession contracts
  • Advise on employment law matters specific to crew scheduling and collective agreements

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Air and Space Law, Transport Law, or Business Law
  • 3-5 years' experience in aviation law, transport law, or commercial contracts
  • Knowledge of the Montreal Convention, Warsaw Convention, and ICAO regulations
  • Understanding of Moroccan aviation regulatory framework (DGAC requirements)
  • Experience with aircraft leasing (operating and finance leases) is an advantage
  • Fluent French and English required; Arabic an advantage
