Legal Counsel – Competition Law & Public Procurement

Proximus PLC on Boulevard du Roi Albert II in Brussels is seeking a Legal Counsel to manage competition law compliance and public procurement matters. As a partially state-owned operator, Proximus is subject to both EU/Belgian competition law scrutiny and Belgian public procurement rules.

What You Will Do

• Manage competition law compliance across Proximus's Belgian operations
• Advise on interactions with the Belgian Competition Authority and European Commission
• Handle public procurement matters under the Belgian Public Procurement Law of 2016
• Advise on joint ventures, network sharing agreements, and wholesale access obligations
• Develop and deliver competition compliance training to business teams

• Lead competition law compliance programme for Proximus
• Manage public procurement processes and compliance
• Advise on regulatory interactions with competition and telecom authorities
• Draft and review commercial agreements for competition law risks
• Train business teams on competition and procurement compliance

• Belgian Bar admission or equivalent qualification
• Master in Law; specialization in competition or public procurement law preferred
• 4-7 years of experience in competition law or public procurement
• Knowledge of Belgian and EU competition law, public procurement rules, and telecom sector regulation
• Fluent in French and Dutch; English required
• In-house or regulatory experience preferred
