Job Description
Robi Axiata, the second largest telecom operator in Bangladesh, is recruiting a Legal Counsel specializing in data privacy and regulatory compliance. The role supports compliance with Bangladesh's evolving data protection framework and telecom regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures. Advise on compliance with Digital Security Act, Cyber Security Act, and Right to Information Act. Handle data breach notifications and incident response. Conduct privacy impact assessments for new products and services. Train business teams on data protection obligations and best practices.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized university. 3-5 years of experience in data privacy, telecom law, or regulatory compliance. Knowledge of Digital Security Act 2018, Cyber Security Act 2023, and BTRC regulations. Understanding of GDPR principles preferred. Certifications such as CIPP/A a plus.
