Job Description

OP Financial Group, Finland's largest financial group by customer base, is recruiting a Legal Counsel for Regulatory Affairs in Helsinki. You will advise on compliance with the Luottolaitoslaki (Credit Institutions Act), Payment Services Act, and evolving EU financial regulation.

The role involves monitoring regulatory developments, preparing responses to FIN-FSA consultations, and advising business units on the legal implications of new regulation such as DORA, MiCA, and PSD3. You will be part of a dynamic team supporting OP's banking, insurance, and wealth management operations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze Finnish and EU regulatory developments affecting OP's operations. Advise business units on compliance with the Luottolaitoslaki and related legislation. Prepare responses to FIN-FSA and ECB consultations and information requests. Draft internal policies and procedures to implement new regulatory requirements. Support regulatory change management projects across the group.

Requirements

OTM degree from a Finnish university. 3-5 years of financial regulatory experience. Strong knowledge of the Luottolaitoslaki and Finnish financial services legislation. Experience with FIN-FSA or ECB regulatory processes. Understanding of EU financial regulation (CRD, PSD2, DORA). Fluent in Finnish and English.
