Job Description
National Bank of Malawi is seeking a Legal Officer to manage credit documentation, security perfection and charge registration across its Blantyre head office and branch network. You will support the bank's lending operations with legal review of facility agreements and collateral structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and draft loan agreements, guarantees, mortgages and debentures
- Register charges with the Registrar General and Lands Registry
- Advise credit teams on legal aspects of lending decisions
- Handle debt recovery and litigation in coordination with external counsel
Requirements
- LLB; admitted by the Malawi Law Society
- 2–4 years in banking, credit or commercial law
- Knowledge of the Banking Act and Insolvency Act
