Oil and Gas Legal Counsel
Saudi Aramco is seeking an Oil and Gas Legal Counsel to join our Legal Division in Dhahran/Dammam. You will provide legal support across Aramco's upstream and downstream operations, joint ventures, and strategic projects.
Role Overview
As the world's largest integrated energy company, Saudi Aramco's Legal Division handles some of the most complex transactions in the global energy sector. This role involves advising on exploration and production agreements, refinery joint ventures, LNG projects, and the company's expanding downstream and chemicals portfolio. You will also support Aramco's diversification into hydrogen, renewables, and carbon capture under Vision 2030.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate upstream agreements including concession agreements, production sharing contracts, and farm-in/farm-out arrangements
- Advise on downstream joint ventures, offtake agreements, and refinery expansion projects
- Provide legal support on LNG sale and purchase agreements, shipping contracts, and terminal access arrangements
- Advise on environmental compliance, carbon trading regulations, and sustainability commitments
- Handle cross-border transactions and international joint ventures across 50+ countries
- Support Aramco's hydrogen and renewables strategy with appropriate legal frameworks

Requirements
- LLB/JD from a recognized university; LLM in energy law or international law preferred
- 7-12 years of oil and gas legal experience, ideally with a national oil company or major international firm
- Strong knowledge of upstream and downstream oil and gas contracts
- Experience with joint venture negotiations and international arbitration
- Familiarity with Saudi energy regulations and the Ministry of Energy framework
- Fluent English required; Arabic language skills are an advantage
