Position Overview
Job Description
Savjani & Co, Malawi's Band 1 ranked commercial law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Corporate and Commercial practice in Blantyre, near the Blantyre High Court. You will lead on M&A transactions, joint ventures and corporate restructuring for multinational clients operating across Malawi and the SADC region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence and transaction structuring for corporate deals
- Draft and negotiate shareholders agreements, SPAs and joint venture documents
- Advise on compliance with the Malawi Companies Act and Securities Act
- Represent clients before the Registrar General and Malawi Stock Exchange
- Supervise junior associates and manage client relationships
Requirements
- LLB from the University of Malawi or recognised institution
- Admitted as Legal Practitioner by the Malawi Law Society
- Minimum 5 years post-admission corporate law experience
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
