Castrén & Snellman, Finland's largest law firm, is looking for a Senior Associate on a partner track to join our Dispute Resolution practice. You will represent clients in high-stakes commercial litigation before Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court (Korkein oikeus).
The role covers a broad range of disputes including shareholder conflicts under the Osakeyhtiölaki, competition damages claims, and international arbitration under ICC and SCC rules. As a Lakimies with significant courtroom experience, you will take a lead role in case strategy and advocacy.
Responsibilities
Lead complex commercial litigation matters through all stages of Finnish court proceedings. Develop case strategy and prepare written submissions for the Supreme Court (Korkein oikeus). Represent clients in international arbitration proceedings. Manage client relationships and contribute to business development. Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and trainees.
Requirements
OTM degree and admission to the Finnish Bar Association (Suomen Asianajajaliitto) required. 7-10 years of dispute resolution experience. Proven track record of litigation before Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus) and appellate courts. Experience with international arbitration (ICC, SCC). Excellent written and oral advocacy skills in Finnish and English.
