Job Description
Vellani & Vellani seeks a Senior Associate for its Projects & Energy practice in Karachi. The firm advises on major power generation projects, oil and gas transactions, renewable energy developments, and infrastructure PPP projects. This role involves leading complex transactions and managing client relationships in one of Pakistan's most active legal practices.
Responsibilities
Leading negotiations on power purchase agreements and implementation agreements. Advising on NEPRA tariff determinations and generation licence applications. Structuring project finance transactions for energy projects. Managing relationships with IPP developers, lenders, and government counterparts. Supervising associates and managing transaction teams.
Requirements
LLB from a recognised university. Enrolled with a Provincial Bar Council. 5-8 years PQE in projects, energy, or infrastructure law. Experience with power purchase agreements, EPC contracts, and NEPRA proceedings. Understanding of BOT, BOOT, and PPP frameworks in Pakistan.
