Job Description
Energy & Infrastructure Partner — Herguner Bilgen Ozeke, Istanbul
Herguner Bilgen Ozeke is looking to add a Partner to its Energy & Infrastructure practice in Istanbul. This leadership role involves advising on Turkey's major energy projects including power generation, renewable energy, natural gas pipeline projects, and public-private partnerships (PPP).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead energy and infrastructure mandates including power plant acquisitions, renewable energy project development, and natural gas distribution
- Advise on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT), Build-Operate (BO), and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models under Turkish law
- Handle Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) licensing matters for electricity generation, distribution, and supply
- Structure project finance transactions for energy and infrastructure projects with Turkish and international lenders
- Advise on Electricity Market Law No. 6446, Renewable Energy Law No. 5346, and Natural Gas Market Law No. 4646
- Represent clients in energy arbitration and regulatory disputes
- Develop and maintain client relationships with international energy companies, project finance banks, and Turkish conglomerates

Requirements
- Active avukat license with 12+ years of energy and infrastructure law experience
- Portable client relationships and proven business development track record
- Deep knowledge of Turkish energy legislation (EPDK regulations, Electricity Market Law, Renewable Energy Law)
- Experience with major energy transactions ($100M+ deal value)
- LLB from a top Turkish university; LLM from a leading international institution
- Native Turkish and fluent English
- Recognized in Chambers, Legal 500, or IFLR1000 rankings
