Job Description
The Reserve Bank of Malawi seeks a Senior Legal Officer to lead legal work on monetary policy instruments, exchange control regulations and international financial agreements from its Lilongwe headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead legal review of monetary policy instruments and exchange control orders
- Advise the Governor on complex legal matters
- Manage external counsel on litigation involving the Reserve Bank
- Represent Malawi in SADC and COMESA monetary committee forums
Requirements
- LLB plus LLM; central banking experience highly preferred
- Minimum 6 years in financial regulation or public law
- Strong policy analysis and legislative drafting skills
