Legal Intern — Energy & Petroleum Law

PDVSA (Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A.) is offering a legal internship in its Legal Affairs Division in Caracas. Interns will gain exposure to energy law, petroleum contracts, and state-enterprise legal practice at Venezuela's national oil company.

Key Responsibilities

• Research the Organic Hydrocarbons Law, petroleum fiscal regime, and related energy regulations
• Assist with reviewing and summarising service agreements and joint operating contracts
• Draft legal research memoranda on comparative petroleum law in Latin America
• Support the legal team with document management and case file organisation
• Attend internal training sessions on energy law and petroleum operations

• Support attorneys on energy law research and document review
• Attend PDVSA legal department training and orientation
• Assist with preparation of contract summaries for the legal team
• Participate in PDVSA's internship development programme

• Currently enrolled in final two years of law school (Derecho) at a Venezuelan university
• Interest in energy, natural resources, or public law
• Fluent in Spanish; English reading ability preferred
• Strong academic record and research skills
• Knowledge of basic petroleum engineering concepts an advantage
