Internship Description
Paid Internship | Duration: 3-4 months | Start: September 2026
Eligibility: Law students in their final year of OTM studies or recent graduates. Interest in banking, insurance, or financial regulation required.
OP Financial Group invites applications for a Legal Internship in Helsinki. You will work within our Legal & Compliance division, supporting lawyers on matters related to the Luottolaitoslaki (Credit Institutions Act), insurance regulation, and payment services.
OP's legal internship offers exposure to the full spectrum of financial services law within Finland's largest financial group by customer count. Successful interns may be considered for permanent positions.
Responsibilities
Assist lawyers with banking and insurance regulatory research. Draft internal memoranda on regulatory developments affecting OP's operations. Support contract review and negotiation processes. Participate in compliance projects and policy development. Attend internal training sessions on financial services regulation.
Requirements
Final-year OTM student or recent graduate from a Finnish university. Interest in financial services, banking, or insurance law. Basic knowledge of Finnish financial regulation. Fluent in Finnish and English.
