Legal Intern — Investment at Darussalam Assets
Darussalam Assets Sdn Bhd is offering a paid 3-month internship for law students interested in investment law, M&A, and corporate governance. The internship provides exposure to strategic government investment activities under Brunei's Wawasan 2035 economic diversification agenda.
What You Will Learn
- Assist with legal due diligence on potential investments and acquisitions
- Support the drafting of investment term sheets and basic corporate documents
- Research corporate law and regulatory requirements for investment transactions
- Attend investment committee meetings and cross-functional team discussions
- Learn about sovereign investment vehicles and government-linked corporate structures
- Gain exposure to cross-border ASEAN investment transactions
Duration: 3 months (paid internship — BND 900/month)
Responsibilities
- Support the legal team on investment due diligence and documentation
- Conduct legal research on corporate and regulatory matters
- Attend team meetings and investment discussions
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a law or business law degree programme at UBD, a UK, Singaporean, or Australian university
- Interest in corporate law, M&A, or investment transactions
- Strong academic record and analytical skills
- Good research and writing skills in English
- Malay language proficiency preferred
