Position Overview
Internship Description
Webb, Low & Barry, one of Zimbabwe's oldest law firms (est. 1897), offers a pupillage position in our Bulawayo office. This 12-month programme provides exposure to multiple practice areas including commercial, family, property, criminal, and labour law under the supervision of experienced legal practitioners.
Programme Details
- Duration: 12 months (part of the mandatory 36-48 month pupillage period)
- Stipend: Monthly stipend of USD 200-350
- Location: Bulawayo office
What You Will Learn
- Drafting legal documents: contracts, pleadings, and correspondence
- Attending court proceedings and arbitration hearings
- Client interviews and case file management
- Conveyancing procedures and property transactions
- Legal research and opinion writing
Requirements
- LLB degree from a recognized university
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Law Society of Zimbabwe for pupillage
- Strong academic record
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Willingness to be based in Bulawayo
