Internship Description
Paid Internship | Duration: 3 months | Start: September 2026
Eligibility: OTM students in their 4th or 5th year, or recent graduates with a strong interest in competition law and policy. Students with economics coursework are encouraged to apply.
The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV) is offering a Research Internship in our Competition Policy unit in Helsinki. You will contribute to research projects on the Kilpailulaki (Competition Act), EU competition law enforcement, and market studies.
This internship provides unique insight into competition enforcement from the authority's perspective, including cooperation with the European Commission and Nordic competition authorities.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on competition law and policy topics under the Kilpailulaki. Assist with market studies and sector inquiries. Analyze European Commission decisions and their implications for Finnish enforcement. Draft internal briefings and research reports. Support the team on consultation responses and policy papers.
Requirements
OTM student (4th year or above) or recent graduate from a Finnish university. Strong academic background in competition law or EU law. Interest in competition policy and economic regulation. Research and analytical skills. Fluent in Finnish and English.
