Position Overview
Job Description
Gómez-Pinzón is looking for a mid-level real estate lawyer to join its highly regarded practice in Bogotá. The role involves advising on commercial and residential development projects, real estate acquisitions, leasing, construction contracts, and land use matters across Colombia's major urban centres.
The associate will handle transactions involving shopping centres, office towers, logistics parks, and mixed-use developments in Bogotá (Zona T, Usaquén, Salitre), Medellín, and Cartagena. Deep knowledge of Colombian property registration at the Oficina de Registro de Instrumentos Públicos and notarial procedures is essential.
Responsibilities
- Conducting title studies (estudios de títulos) and property due diligence at the Oficina de Registro
- Drafting purchase agreements, lease contracts, and construction agreements
- Advising on urban planning compliance and land use permits (POT, licencias urbanísticas)
- Managing real estate closings including notarial execution and registration
- Advising developers on condominium regimes (propiedad horizontal) under Ley 675 de 2001
Requirements
- Título de Abogado and active Tarjeta Profesional
- 3-6 years of experience in real estate, construction, or property law
- Strong knowledge of Colombian property law, registration procedures, and urban planning regulations (POT)
- Experience with real estate due diligence, title studies (estudio de títulos), and notarial formalities
- Familiarity with Curaduría Urbana processes and construction licensing
