Abogado Asociado — Derecho Laboral y Previsional (Concepcion)

PPU Chile is hiring a mid-level Employment & Social Security lawyer for its presence in Concepcion, Chile's second-largest urban area and a key hub for forestry, agriculture, and manufacturing industries in the Biobio Region. The role involves advising employers on individual and collective labour relations, workplace restructurings, and social security compliance under Chile's Codigo del Trabajo and AFP pension system.

The Biobio Region's significant industrial base — including Celulosa Arauco y Constitucion (forestry), CAP (steel), and Camanchaca (aquaculture) — generates substantial employment law demand. The associate will manage labour disputes before Juzgados de Letras del Trabajo in Concepcion and advise on the 40-hour workweek reform implementation.

• Advising employers on hiring, termination (desahucio, necesidades de la empresa), and severance under the Codigo del Trabajo
• Managing collective bargaining negotiations with sindicatos in the Biobio Region
• Representing clients before Juzgados de Letras del Trabajo in Concepcion
• Advising on the 40-hour workweek reform implementation and remote work regulations
• Ensuring compliance with AFP pension contributions and social security obligations

• Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas and juramento ante la Corte Suprema
• 3-6 years of experience in employment law, labour relations, or social security
• Strong knowledge of the Codigo del Trabajo, Ley 20.940, and Ley 21.561 (40-hour workweek)
• Experience with collective bargaining, sindicato negotiations, and huelga management
• Knowledge of AFP pension system and social security contribution compliance
• English proficiency for multinational client coordination with PPU's Santiago office
