Job Description
Abreu Advogados is looking for an Advogado to join its Direito Fiscal practice at the firm's Lisbon office on Avenida Infante D. Henrique in Parque das Nações. You will advise Portuguese and international clients on corporate taxation, VAT, and tax litigation, with particular expertise in investment incentives, real estate tax, and the tax aspects of M&A transactions.
Principais Responsabilidades
- Advise on IRC planning, including participation exemption, RETGS consolidation, and SIFIDE R&D tax credits under the Código do IRC and EBF
- Handle IVA advisory for domestic and cross-border supply chains under the Código do IVA
- Prepare defences and represent clients before the Autoridade Tributária, CAAD (Centro de Arbitragem Administrativa), and Tribunal Tributário
- Advise on IMT (Imposto Municipal sobre Transmissões), IMI, and AIMI for real estate transactions
- Support M&A teams on tax due diligence and structuring
Requisitos
- Licenciatura or Mestrado em Direito; Pós-graduação em Direito Fiscal preferred
- Inscrito na Ordem dos Advogados; 3-6 years PQE in tax advisory
- Strong knowledge of Código do IRC, IVA, LGT, and Portuguese tax procedure
- Good working English for international client matters
