Job Description
Ali Sharif Zu'bi Advocates seeks an Associate for its Banking & Finance practice, advising major Jordanian and regional banks on Islamic and conventional financing structures. Based in the Shmeisani office near the Court of Cassation, you will handle syndicated loan agreements, project finance documentation, and regulatory compliance with the Central Bank of Jordan directives.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review loan facility agreements, security documents, and guarantees
- Advise banks on compliance with the Jordanian Banking Law and CBJ circulars
- Prepare legal opinions on Islamic finance structures (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk)
- Coordinate with regulators on licensing applications
- Support partners in client relationship management
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university
- Admitted to the Jordan Bar Association
- 3-5 years PQE in banking and finance law
- Knowledge of Islamic finance structures
- Arabic and English fluency required
