Job Description

Roschier is looking for an Associate to join our Employment Law practice in Helsinki. You will advise employers on all aspects of Finnish employment law, including collective bargaining, restructurings, and workplace disputes.

The practice covers advisory work under the Employment Contracts Act (Työsopimuslaki), Co-operation Act (Yhteistoimintalaki), and Working Hours Act. You will also handle employment-related litigation before Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus) and the Labour Court.

Responsibilities

Advise employers on Finnish employment law compliance, restructurings, and terminations. Draft employment agreements, non-compete clauses, and workplace policies. Support clients through co-determination (YT) negotiations under the Yhteistoimintalaki. Represent clients in employment disputes before Helsinki District Court and the Labour Court. Prepare legal memoranda and client alerts on legislative developments.

Requirements

OTM degree from a Finnish university. 3-5 years of employment law experience. Thorough knowledge of Finnish employment legislation including Työsopimuslaki and Yhteistoimintalaki. Experience with collective bargaining and co-determination procedures. Fluent in Finnish and English.
