Job Description

White & Case LLP Helsinki office is recruiting an Associate for our International Arbitration practice. You will work on complex cross-border disputes involving Finnish, Nordic, and international parties under ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, and ICSID rules.

The Helsinki team handles investment treaty arbitration, energy disputes, and commercial arbitration with a strong Nordic focus. You will collaborate with colleagues across White & Case's global network while maintaining deep expertise in Finnish procedural law and the Arbitration Act (Välimiesmenettelylaki).

Responsibilities

Prepare submissions, witness statements, and legal memoranda for international arbitration proceedings. Conduct legal research on Finnish, Nordic, and international law issues. Assist in hearing preparation and document management. Coordinate with global White & Case teams on multi-jurisdictional disputes. Draft procedural orders and case management materials.

Requirements

OTM degree; LL.M. from a leading international university is a plus. 3-6 years of international arbitration experience. Knowledge of ICC, SCC, and UNCITRAL arbitration rules. Understanding of Finnish arbitration law (Välimiesmenettelylaki). Fluent in English; Finnish language skills preferred.
