Job Description

Collaborateur — Tax & Employment Law | LPA-CGR Avocats

LPA-CGR Avocats Casablanca is seeking a mid-level Associate with dual expertise in Moroccan tax law and employment law. This role is based in the Marina district and supports the firm's growing client base of French and European companies establishing or expanding operations in Morocco.

Practice Areas

Morocco's tax system is governed by the Code Général des Impôts, with key taxes including l'Impôt sur les Sociétés (IS), la Taxe sur la Valeur Ajoutée (TVA), and l'Impôt sur le Revenu (IR). Employment law is regulated by the Code du Travail (Loi n°65-99), with mandatory social security through the CNSS and mutual insurance funds. French companies entering Morocco need specialised advice on both tax structuring and labour compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise foreign investors and Moroccan companies on tax structuring, IS optimisation, and TVA compliance
  • Draft and review employment contracts, internal regulations (règlement intérieur), and collective agreements
  • Handle tax audit assistance and disputes before the Commission Locale de Taxation and administrative courts
  • Advise on employee terminations, restructurings, and collective dismissal procedures under the Code du Travail
  • Support due diligence on tax and employment matters for M&A transactions
  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation and coordinate with LPA-CGR's international tax network

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Tax Law, Employment Law, or Business Law from a Moroccan or French university
  • Admission to the Barreau de Casablanca
  • 3-5 years' PQE in tax advisory and/or employment law
  • Knowledge of the Code Général des Impôts, Code du Travail (Loi 65-99), and CNSS regulations
  • Experience with tax structuring for foreign investors is an advantage
  • Fluent French required; Arabic and English advantageous
