Collaborateur — Banking & Finance | LPA-CGR Avocats
LPA-CGR Avocats, a leading French-origin business law firm in Casablanca's Marina district, is recruiting a mid-level Associate to strengthen its Banking and Finance practice. This role offers exceptional exposure to structured finance, project finance, and capital markets transactions involving Morocco and the broader Francophone African market.
Practice Overview
LPA-CGR's banking practice advises leading Moroccan and international banks — including Attijariwafa Bank, BMCE Bank of Africa, and European development finance institutions — on complex financing transactions governed by the Loi Bancaire (Loi n°103-12), Bank Al-Maghrib regulations, and the Code de Commerce. The team works on syndicated lending, acquisition finance, real estate finance, Islamic finance (sukuk and mourabaha), and regulatory compliance matters.

Responsibilities
- Draft and review loan agreements, security documentation (hypothèques, nantissements), and intercreditor agreements under Moroccan law
- Advise banks and borrowers on regulatory compliance with Bank Al-Maghrib and AMMC requirements
- Support due diligence processes on banking and finance transactions
- Prepare legal opinions on Moroccan law enforceability for international lenders
- Assist with Islamic finance structuring including sukuk issuances and mourabaha facilities
- Coordinate with LPA-CGR's international offices on cross-border financing mandates
Requirements
- Master's degree in Banking Law, Finance Law, or Business Law from a Moroccan or French university
- Admission to the Barreau de Casablanca or equivalent French bar
- 3-5 years' PQE in banking and finance law at a law firm or in-house legal department
- Knowledge of Bank Al-Maghrib circulars, the Loi Bancaire 103-12, and AMMC regulations
- Experience with loan documentation, security packages, and facility agreements
- Excellent French drafting skills; English and Arabic advantageous
