Corporate Governance Specialist

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) of Oman seeks a Corporate Governance Specialist for its Governance & Regulation Directorate in Al Khuwair, Muscat. This senior role involves developing and implementing corporate governance standards for listed companies on the Muscat Stock Exchange.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update the CMA Code of Corporate Governance for public joint stock companies
• Assess listed companies' compliance with board composition, audit committee, and disclosure requirements
• Draft regulatory circulars and guidance notes on governance best practices
• Advise on ESG reporting frameworks aligned with Oman Vision 2040 sustainability goals
• Coordinate with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and the MSX on governance capacity building

Requirements

• LLB from a recognised university; LLM in Corporate Law, Governance, or Securities preferred
• 6-10 years PQE in corporate governance, securities regulation, or corporate law
• Knowledge of OECD corporate governance principles and CMA regulations
• Experience with listed company advisory or regulatory work
• Bilingual Arabic and English essential
