Job Description
Oman Air is looking for an Employment & HR Legal Advisor for its Seeb headquarters in Muscat. This role provides legal counsel on all workforce matters including Omanisation compliance, employee relations, and restructuring initiatives affecting the airline's 4,000+ staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise HR on Omanisation quotas and Ministry of Labour compliance for aviation sector employees
- Draft and review employment contracts, secondment agreements, and crew rostering terms
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary proceedings, and termination disputes
- Advise on Social Protection Fund contributions and end-of-service benefit calculations
- Support workforce restructuring and voluntary separation scheme legal frameworks
Requirements
- LLB from a recognised university; specialisation in Employment Law preferred
- 3-5 years PQE in employment or HR legal advisory, preferably in aviation or large workforce environments
- Knowledge of the Oman Labour Law (RD 35/2003) and Omanisation regulations
- Experience with collective restructuring processes
- Bilingual Arabic and English essential
Responsibilities
